The Material Composition and Structural Deformation of Precambrian Strata in Fuyun area, Xinjiang

    • The strata lithology is comprised of schist and gneiss in Altay, northwestern Xinjiang. The Altay area is a part of the Chonghuer-Qinghe structural construction zone extending from Tawunaisazi to the southern slope of the Mongolian Altai. The construction zone with special geographical location and tectonic deformation is an active research topic on development, evolution of Altai orogen. By collecting and analyzing data of material composition, metamorphism, deformation of the metamorphic rocks (Precambrian) in Altai region, and by regional stratigraphic correlation, we divided the strata into construction-rock (strata) units. We proposed the strata undergone in-depth regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism of amphibolite facies, and the strata was a part of the Precambrian basement in Altai region. The deformation of the Kemuqi Group (early Paleoproterozoic) and Supute Group (middle Paleoproterozoic) had characteristics with multi-stage and multi-level, and reserved extensive tectonic deform information in different structural levels.
