  • The stratigraphic profile of Jinshitan stretches from Liangshui bay, through Dalinzi coast to Jinshitan port of Getun. Go along the Jinshitan profile, we can see Yingchengzi Formation, Shisanlitai Formation, Majiatun Formation, Cuijiatun Formation and Xingmincun Formation which formed in Neoproterozoic Sinian period; and we can see Getun Formation, Dalinzi Formation, Jianchang Formation and Mantou Formation which formed in Early Paleozoic Cambrian period. The Getun Formation and Dalinzi Formation are named after stratotype profile. The others are named after local sub-areas of Dalian area except Jianchang Formation and Mantou Formation. During geological survey of the stratigraphic profile, we can enjoy the geological and geomorphological landscape of ‘Rose garden’, ‘Dinosaur garden’, ‘Nanxiu garden’ and ‘Turtle garden’.
