Metallogenic prediction of gold deposits in Hongqiling-Piaohechuan area based on MRAS evidence weight method

    • Hongqiling-Piaohechuan area is located in the southern margin of the eastern Xingmeng orogenic belt. The metallogenic geological condition in this area is profitable and the mineral resources are abundant. The metallogenic regularity of gold deposits was summarized and the prospecting model was established on the basis of couecting and sorting out regional geological data. A total of 13 evidentiary factors were extracted and constructed, including metamorphic rock series, intermediate-acidic intrusive rocks, 1.5 km buffer zone around the faults, large scale positive magnetic fields, and geochemical anomalies (Ag, As, Au, etc.) in stream sediments. A grid cell of 0.75 km×0.75 km was used to conduct mineral prospect prediction on the basis of MRAS evidence weight method. A A-level mineral prospecting potential area, five B-level mineal prospecting potential areas and a C-level mineral prospecting potential area were delineated after the process of the prior probability calculation, weight value statistical analysis, independence test and the posterior probability calculation of the evidence factors. It was considered that the geological conditions of Shelinggou-Hanshang gold prospecting area were well, which had good prospecting potential, and was the key area for magmatic hydrothermal type gold deposits. The research achievements could provide references for gold deposits exploration within the region.
