桂中坳陷东部构造特征及油气地质意义

    Structural characteristics and petroleum geological significance of the eastern Guizhong Depression

    • 摘要: 桂中坳陷上古生界页岩气资源潜力巨大,但油气地质与地球物理调查工作程度较低,制约了该区域的页岩气勘探开发进程。为查明桂中坳陷东部的油气地质条件,支撑页岩气资源调查评价,运用大地电磁测深(magnetotellutic sounding, MT)、二维反射地震等地球物理探测技术,开展页岩气地质-地球物理综合研究。结果表明: 凤凰向斜整体呈NNE向展布,平面形态北窄南宽,剖面表现为东翼宽缓、西翼陡峭的构造特征。向斜枢纽向南倾伏,地层埋深北浅南深,其中鹿寨组埋深为600~1 800 m,厚度为240~330 m。向斜东、西两翼分别发育倾向南东和倾向北西的逆冲断层,剖面上形成了对冲的构造格局。深部可见系列NW向的正断层,切割深度大,控制了泥盆系—石炭系的沉积充填,且后期发生了构造反转。进一步研究表明: 凤凰向斜核部处于对冲构造带,鹿寨组埋深适中,远离深大断裂,具有较好的页岩气构造保存条件,是未来桂中坳陷页岩气资源调查有望取得突破的重点地区之一。研究基本明确了桂中坳陷东部的油气基础地质条件,为区域页岩气资源调查评价和区块优选提供了重要依据。

       

      Abstract: The Upper Paleozoic of Guizhong Depression possesses considerable shale gas potential. However, the limited extent of petroleum geological and geophysical exploration has greatly hindered local shale gas exploration and development. To clarify the petroleum geological features in the eastern Guizhong Depression and support regional shale gas resource evaluation, the authors in this study have integrated magnetotelluric sounding (MT) and 2D reflection seismic methods to conduct joint geological and geophysical research on shale gas. The results showed that Fenghuang syncline extended in an overall NNE direction, narrow in the north and broad in the south in plain view, and a gentle eastern limb and a steep western limb in cross section. The hinge of the syncline plunged southward, and the strata burial depth increased from north to south. Luzhai Formation exhibited a burial depth of 600~1 800 m and a thickness of 240-330 m. Thrust faults striking SE and NW were developed on the eastern and western limbs of the syncline respectively, forming a structural pattern of opposing thrusts in cross section. A series of NW- striking normal faults were observed at depth, and these faults had large cutting depths, which controlled the Devonian-Carboniferous sedimentary filling, and experienced structural inversion in the late stage. Further studies indicated that the core of Fenghuang Syncline was located within the inward thrust belt. Luzhai Formation had moderate burial depth, and it was far from deep major faults. Besides, Luzhai Formation featured good shale gas preservation, making it a priority area for future shale gas exploration breakthrough in Guizhong Depression. The present study has ascertained the basic petroleum geological settings in the eastern Guizhong Depression, which could provide important support for regional shale gas resource assessment and block optimization.
